Nercwys Memories

These two books were written by Gladys Lloyd Roberts (1910 – 2009). They are the personal memories of Gladys and give a fascinating glimpse into the people, characters and places that was Nerquis (post 1956 - Nercwys) in the first part of the 20th Century. She was born at Cae Newydd, but her family moved to Pentre Bâch to take over a smallholding when she was two years old. Having been inspired by Mr. Rees, the Headmaster of Nerquis School, her career was in education and her final years were spent in Buckley.
